First Lady Michelle Obama Lands Cover Of VOGUE
Michelle Obama’s style and grace have redefined the image of America’s First Lady, and now Mrs. Obama will grace the cover of fashion magazine VOGUE as a result. Michelle appears on the cover of the magazine’s March issue, wearing a magenta Jason Wu silk sheath dress (Wu also designed the First Lady’s inaugural gown). Inside the magazine, Michelle speaks about her priority of being present for the couple’s two young daughters and her new role of fashion icon.
Michelle was interviewed by fashion great, Vogue’s editor at large Andre’ Leon Talley, and was photographed by the legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. Fully in charge, the First Lady chose her own outfits for her photo spread with the magazine, opting to put her outfits together herself rather than be styled by the Vogue stylists, who typically select the clothing worn by most of the magazine’s cover models. Michelle opted for stylish ensembles by Jason Wu, J. Crew, and Narciso Rodriguez.
