New Book About First Dog, Bo, To Hit Shelves Soon

obama-book

Since President Obama’s historic election, we’ve seen the First Family’s pictures plastered on everything from dishes to clocks to pins to clothes… and now it looks like the newest member of the First Family, their Portuguese water dog Bo, will be a money maker as well!

A small Virginia publishing house, Mascot books (which publishes books about school and professional sports mascots), has wasted no time in capitalizing on the new pup and has announced plans to release a book about the family’s new pooch, which they say should hit shelves within the next week.

The book entitled, “Bo, America’s Commander in Leash,” is narrated by the First Dog, as he romps his way through the White House, sharing details about the President, traditions such as Easter Egg Roll, new additions like the First Lady’s vegetable garden, and the history of the White House along the way.

The book is marketed to children between the ages of 4 and 10, and will retail for about $15.
